Persons interested in registering at St. Rita
Parish must reside within our parish boundaries, according to Diocesan
Guidelines. St. Rita's boundaries are south of Newburg Rd., East of Alpine
R. , West of the Boone County Line and North of the Ogle County Line,

parish office (398-0853) to receive your registration packet.
St. Rita Church offers the Sacrament of Baptism to
all parish families who have been registered members for at least three months. For the benefit of families participating, no more than two baptisms are
scheduled at one time, unless approved by the Priest.

scheduling your child's Baptism.
We ask parents and godparents to attend a Baptismal
Preparation Session prior to the scheduled date of Baptism. This session, presented
by one of our priests, is held on the third Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM in the
Nursery and last about 45 minutes. Please call the office to register for the
session.
Godparents play a very important role in the
development of a child's Faith life and as a provider of Christian moral support to the
parents. At least one of the godparents must be Catholic. If a godparent is
not a registered parishioner at St. Rita, please have them obtain a letter from their
parish confirming that they are a registered, active Catholic in good standing with the
Church. This letter must be received by our parish office two weeks prior to the
child's Baptism.

Wedding plans by registered parishioners should be made as soon after your
engagement as possible and at least six months before the desired date. To choose a date
and begin your wedding plans, please call the Parish Office (398-0853) to make an
appointment to see one of the Priests. Wedding plans include FOCCUS, an instrument for
marriage preparation and an Engaged Encounter Weekend.
