The Sacrament of Baptism

St. Rita Church offers the Sacrament of Baptism to all parish families who have been registered members for at least three months.  For the benefit of families participating, no more than two baptisms are scheduled at one time, unless approved by the Priest.
Please call the parish office at 398-0853 for information on scheduling your child's Baptism.
We ask parents and godparents to attend a Baptismal Preparation Session prior to the scheduled date of Baptism.  This session, presented by one of our priests, is held on the third Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM in the Nursery and last about 45 minutes.  Please call the office to register for the session.
Godparents play a very important role in the development of a child's Faith life and as a provider of Christian moral support to the parents.  At least one of the godparents must be Catholic.  If a godparent is not a registered parishioner at St. Rita, please have them obtain a letter from their parish confirming that they are a registered, active Catholic in good standing with the Church.  This letter must be received by our parish office two weeks prior to the child's Baptism.
Please call the parish office at 398-0853 to sign-up for the Baptism Preparation Session or if you have any questions.
