Who can participate

Participants can include anyone in the school or parish.  Orders may be taken from the general public, but payment must come from a parishioner or school parent

Where do the proceeds go?

Fifty percent of the profit earned on your orders will be credited to your family's tuition reimbursement account.  The remainder of the discount will be divided - 40% to the Education Enhancement Fund and 10% to be used for administration cost.  For an example of how this works, click here.

Any participant without students attending St. Rita or Boylan may choose to have their reimbursement directed to the Education Enhancement Fund, CCD Fund, Parish Debt Fund, Helping Hands Fund, or another participating family. 

Due to tax liabilities and the work associated with filing IRS forms for interest accrued on individual family accounts, any interest earned on certificate profits will be directed to the Education Enhancement Fund.

What if my family transfers out of the St. Rita Parish?

Families who transfer out of school, may have their credit balance transferred to another Catholic School, another family with students, or to one of the other available funds.  Payments will not be made directly to the families and cannot be used toward payment of any other fees.

How do I pay for my order:

Payments are to be made when the order is placed.  Checks should be made payable to St. Rita Scrip.  Cash will not be accepted.  There will be a $20.00 charge for checks returned (NSF) and the participant may be asked to use money orders thereafter.  Checks are deposited promptly.

How do I know that my order is correct?

It is the participant's responsibility to verify their order at the time of receipt.  Any discrepancies should be addressed immediately.

Who determines St. Rita Helping Hands Guidelines and Policies?

The guidelines and policies are determined by the St. Rita Home and School Board.  Any changes and additions to this policy will be reviewed and approved by this governing board.
