Welcome to St. Rita Scrip Helping Hands Program

Introduction

St. Rita Helping Hands Program is a program that is uniquely rewarding - it costs nothing, yet yields significant benefits for its participants, St. Rita Parish, and St. Rita School.  St. Rita Helping Hands Program is staffed by St. Rita parishioners and provides Education Enhancement Funds that the Home and School Committee may apply where they feel the need is greatest to have a direct impact on our children's education.  St. Rita Helping Hands Program also helps defray the cost of Catholic education by giving each participating St. Rita Family a tuition credit proportionate to their level of participation in the program.

The Education Enhancement Fund...

is a percentage of the profits raised by this program and goes toward the purchase of items for each teacher's classroom which are not affordable through the regular operating budget.  This is a much-welcomed resource for our outstanding faculty.  This may facilitate buying new world maps to keep pace with the ever-changing geographic boundaries or new science equipment for another classroom.  A teacher of younger children may use the funds to organize a cozy area to encourage reading.  These funds go directly where the need is determined to be the greatest.

Tuition credit...

is another significant benefit that families involved with the St. Rita Helping Hands program enjoy.  Based on participation, each family will receive a credit on their tuition bill.  This tuition credit may also be applied to Boylan Catholic High School.  If you do not have a child in Catholic school, you may direct your profits back to the Education Enhancement Fund, St. Rita CCD tuition credit, St. Rita Parish Debt Fund, or the St. Rita Helping Hands Fund.

How can you participate?

Simply purchase merchant certificates from St. Rita Helping Hands for anything you would normally pay for with cash.  We have such a wide variety of vendors that you can use this program to pay for just about everything with St. Rita Helping Hands vendor gift certificates except for your utilities and rent.  We have over 100 vendors representing groceries, gas, restaurants, travel, entertainment, home improvements, clothing, shoes, books, music, sports equipment, etc.  The possibilities are too numerous to list in this space.  If you can get Grandma and Grandpa, siblings, aunts, uncles, etc. involved in this program, you could have a significant amount of your tuition paid by St. Rita Helping Hands Program.

There are two methods that you can use to purchase vendor gift certificates from St. Rita Helping Hands.  The first method is to order vendor gift certificates using the order form that is sent home each week.  Simply fill out this order form and return it to school by Friday with your payment.  Vendor gift certificates will be placed in your child's backpack, or can be picked up at the School Office the following Friday.  The second method is to buy vendor gift certificates directly on Sunday evenings from 5 pm to 6 pm at the school

Why not make a decision today to become involved in a program that can earn tuition credit as well as help enhance the quality of our children's Catholic education?  Thank you and please participate!!  If you have any questions, pleas stop by Sunday evenings or call either Dave & Mary Fehrle (873-8045) or Scott & Linda Kaiser (332-5257)
